Similarly, all the game's original 3D armour meshes are constructed to attach to the male hero meshes so there'd need to be an entirely new set of armour as well as animations made, which frankly isn't impossible to do under normal circumstances (and for normal games would be a bit of a cop out, in my opinion) but it's a bit more complex than working on a game from scratch due to the fact that the original Fable's code is still running in the background so there's some technical obstacles in place. So the only remaining option would be to rerecord all the game's dialogue with an entirely new cast which would likely be beyond the scope of what this project's budget could bear and would probably also upset quite a few players as I imagine there are many who wouldn't want the team to just do away with the original cast. So adding in a female hero would require recording brand new lines and, sadly, the entire original cast of Fable: The Lost Chapters isn't available nor do I imagine that Fable Anniversary had the budget to rehire the entire original cast (even if they were available) to rerecord many of the original lines. All of the game's dialogue says "he" and "boy" and "him" and so forth. Not sure how much of this has already been discussed (there's way too many posts for me to dive through I'm afraid), but I imagine the primary reasons that Fable Anniversary didn't have a female hero as an option weren't in any way nefarious.
